Gordon Mortensen, American, b. 1938, Late Summer, original limited edition color woodcut print, 1975. Signed in pencil lower right, titled lower left, numbered 19 of 100 to the center. Matted and framed. On the back, bears an Associated American Artists paper label reads: Gordon Mortensen was raised on a grain farm in North Dakota, where he was born in 1938. He graduated with honors from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and did graduate work at the University of Minnesota. He has studied with Alice Barber. Malcolm Myers and David Ratner. Honored with more than 15 one-man shows to date he has also exhibited at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Denver Museum. He has won numerous prizes in the media of graphics, drawing and watercolor. His works are included in the collections of the Ninth Federal Reserve Bank and First National Bank of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Public Library.
