Lea Halpern, Dutch, American, 1901 to 1985, artistic ceramic plate covered with a glaze in a turquoise blue shade and adorned with a crackled design. Signed by the artist, and numbered 206N, on the back. Circa: 1920s to 1940s. Lea Halpern was known as the van Gogh of potters, she experimented with glazes, special effects, and innovative pigments.
