A Russian Jewish silver gilt Mezuzah decorated with intricate flower designs in the shades of blue, green, red and white made using the cloisonne enamel technique. A mezuzah is a piece of parchment, known as a klaf, contained in a decorative case and inscribed with specific Hebrew verses from the Torah. Hallmarked with 84 Russian silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the right and the Cyrillic maker's initials: VI.
