Lot 0010: NEOCLASSICAL ART PRINTS ALLEGORIES AFTER RAPHAEL

41 reviews

A single series of three color prints after the series of engravings made by French artists at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The series titled Hours of Day and Night was a collective work, a Neo Classical interpretation of the frescoes of the same name executed by Raphael Santi in Vatican in the 16th century. Each artwork depicts a female personification of a time of day: the first hour, the second hour, and the third hour (in Italian: Ora Prima di Giorno, Ora Seconda di Giorno, Ora Terza di Giorno). White mat, golden frame. Collectible Antique Fine Art For Interior Design.
