Framed. Provenance: World Auction Gallery LLC, NY, United States, September 13, 2020, lot 146. An auction paper label on the back. Irving Amen was an American artist, known for Woodcuts, religious theme and figure painting, stained glass. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles. In 1974 he illustrated The Epic of Gilgamesh in linocuts and woodcuts for the Limited Editions Club. He designed a set of stained glass windows depicting the Twelve Tribes of Israel for Agudas Achim Synagogue in Bexley, Ohio. His work often depicts themes of Judaism, chess, people, music, Italy and Don Quixote. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
