Ferenc Chiovini, Hungarian, 1899 to 1981, oil painting on board depicting a rural river landscape scene with fishermen. Signed and, probably dated, 934, lower right. Framed. Ferenc Chiovini was a Hungarian painter. He graduated from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts in 1924, then went on to study in Rome and Florence. His most important teachers were Gyula Rudnay and Pal Vago. In 1926 he joined the Artist Colony, Szolnok, and since then he has also exhibited. During World War II he hid, then took part in rebuilding the artist colony. He mostly painted landscapes. He received awards between 1938-1974. One of a kind artwork.
