Boris Anisfeld, Russian, 1878 to 1973, abstract pastel on paper painting depicting crucifix. Signed by the artist lower left. Matted and framed. Boris Izrailevich Anisfeld was a painter and theater designer. In 1918, Anisfeld and his family settled in New York. His show at the Brooklyn Museum in the same year brought him fame and success in America.
