A Russian hand carved multy stones figural group. The figural group depicts Tweedledum and Tweedledee, characters from Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll and English nursery rhymes. Perhaps they first appeared in John Byroms epigram on the composers Handel and Bononcini. Subsequently, in Western pop culture, these names have often been used to derisively refer to any two people who are very similar in appearance and mannerisms. Mounted on a glazed wooden base. Presented in an original wooden box. Weight: 774 g. Antique and Vintage Hand Carved Natural Stones Figurines, Statuettes, Statues, Figures, Home Decor, and Collectibles.
