A very fine antique Japanese champleve enamel urn shaped bronze vase, covered with a dark patina and embellished with three wide decorative borders with polychrome floral motifs in blue, red, white and green colors made using the champleve enamel technique. Champleve is an enameling technique consisting of cutting away troughs or cells in a metal plate and filling the depressions with pulverized vitreous enamel. Dated circa 1900. Unmarked.
