An antique late 19th century handpainted porcelain plaque signed "C. Bauer". The painting title is "Der Wilderer" (The Poacher) after the original painting by Max Correggio (German, 1854 to 1908), which depicts a father and boys preparing to poach a killed buck who appear to be startled by its hunter.
