John Sartain, 1808-1897, American engraver and printmaker. Black and white etching depicting a young woman in profile. The print was executed after an artwork by Joseph Coomans, 1816-1899, a prominent Belgian illustrator. Titled Irene in the lower left with a small image of a woman's hand holding a flower. Signed John Sartain in the lower right, Artist's Proof print. White mat, wooden frame. Collectible Antique Graphic Art.
