Alexander Altman is a French painter and graphic artist, an artist of the Russian Diaspora, a representative of the Paris School. At the age of 20, he left Russia and went to Austria, but soon moved to Paris.He studied at the Academy of R. Julien with A. F. Bouguereau and the sculptor J. M. Boche. Altmans favorite genre was the landscape. He depicted harbors, mountains, large cities and small suburbs. His paintings capture the Alps, the suburbs of Paris, the harbors of the Bay of Biscay. The style of his painting was formed under the influence of impressionism, as one of the main artistic movements at the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries. Calling a French artist, he is also referred to as the Russian Impressionists. One of a kind artwork.
