An antique Russian Orthodox hand painted on wood cross crucifix. A typical Russian Orthodox Cross with three horizontal crossbeams and the lowest one slanted to remind that The Cross is a Scale of Justice. Christ the Saviour is represented on the upper part of the cross with the right hand blessing and the world on the left one. Inscribed in Old Cyrillic on the upper part. Circa: 19th century.
