Titled and numbered 6 of 10 editions in pencil lower left. Anatoly Lvovich Kaplan was a Soviet Jewish artist. He studied at the Higher Artistic and Technical Institute in Petrograd Leningrad under G. S. Vereisky and A. A. Rylov. The work of Anatoly Kaplan throughout his life was closely connected with Jewish folklore and literature in Yiddish, he was a creator of illustrations for the works of a number of Jewish writers, including the classics of Jewish literature, as well as Jewish folk songs.
