Manomie is known for his sculptures, drawings, prints and jewellery. He developed his skills by observing his father, who was a well-known sculptor. Manomie started carving in his teens and favoured subject matter such as arctic wildlife. Enook Manomie comes from a long line of famous soap stone carvers. His pieces have been exhibited in major galleries and museums throughout Canada and the world. Many of his carvings are part of the permanent display of the Art Bank in Ottawa, the Smith College Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Canada, the Penn Museum, the McMaster Museum of Art.
