Lot 0239: GERMAN MID CENTURY BEER STEINS HANDPAINTED RELIEF

A set of three West German mid-century beer steins. The vessels have a ceramic body with handpainted relief and a metal ornamented lid. The tallest beer mug represents Germans in traditional clothing with an inscription I Mag Di Leiden - I Hab Di Gar So Gern; it also has a built-in musical mechanism. The second beer stein is covered in baroque-style ornamental relief. The third vessel represents a pub scene with an inscription in German: Old Thaler and Young Women Are the Best Pastime. Serial numbers are embossed on the bottom of the items. Collectible German Beer Steins.
