An antique hand colored military etching entitled Duroc, Aide de Camp du Premier Consul depicting a portrait of Geraud Duroc, a French general and diplomat who fought in the French Revolutionary wars and Napoleonic wars. He was noted for his friendship with Napoleon Bonaparte, who appointed him as the first Grand marshal of the palace, the head of the Emperors Military Household. Signed Raphael Jacquemin lower right. Issued for Iconographie General et Methodique du Costume du IV au XIX siecle. Published in Paris, 1869. Antique Military Print Collectibles.
