Anatoly Lepin, Russian Soviet, 1944 to 2014, watercolor painting on paper, Zvenigorod, 1980. Signed with a monogram and dated lower right. Additionally signed, titled, dated, and inscribed on the back. Anatoly Vasilyevich Lepin, a Soviet artist, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Belonged to the circle of underground Moscow artists. One of the founders of the 20 Moscow Artists group, which included underground artists: V. Nemukhin, O. Rabin, A. Rabin, B. Steinberg, Lev Krapivnitsky and others. In the 1970s he began to work on stylized images of plants and landscapes, declaring himself the countrys first ecologist. One of a kind artwork.
