Handmade breastplate necklace with dangles by South China ethnic group Miao Hmong. Most of these pieces are done with a very low grade silver alloy. Etched silver loaf with cut out details. Wedding fashion accessories. Vintage 1950s Miao Hmong Ceremonial Collar Necklace. Miao silversmiths often melted French silver coins to make necklaces or repair existing ones and created an allow named Bai Tong or white copper which is cupro nickel mostly. Miao, mountain dwelling peoples of China, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and Thailand, who speak languages of the Hmong-Mien (Miao-Yao) family. Weight 130g.
