An antique 19th-century Royal Vienna handpainted porcelain charger. Royal Vienna was an Austrian manufactory that operated till 1864. A large round plate with two gilt figurative cutouts on the sides. The central image with a nymph and cherubs blowing soap bubbles is surrounded by four medallions with allegorical images. The images are framed with delicate gold ornaments and flower garlands. The central painting is signed J. Konvan or Kawan and is marked on the verso with the underglaze Beehive mark.
