A hand colored engraving after John Frederick Herring Sr. the original oil painting on canvas, the Doncaster Gold Cup, 1825. Framed. A gilded plaque showing the name of the artist, the title and the date is attached to the front of the frame. Circa: early 20th century. John Frederick Herring Sr., 1795 to 1865, also known as John Frederick Herring I, was a painter, sign maker and coachman in Victorian England. He painted the 1848 Pharoahs Chariot Horses.
