An antique masonic Knights Templar ceremonial sword. Marked Mason MFG Co., Paterson, N.J. Circa the late 19th or early 20th century. A blade engraved with decorations and the owner's initials. The sword has a white bone handle with a cross and a brass knight head pommel. A guard features the Red Cross of Constantine. Comes with an original scabbard with chased Masonic decorations such as the Cross Pattee, a symbol commonly associated with both the historic and modern Knights Templar. The Knights Templar is one of several additional Masonic Orders in which membership is open only to Freemasons who profess a belief in Christianity.
