From the 1950s to 1960s he worked as a photographer in the editorial office of the Ogonyok magazine. In the 1960s Lev Borodulin became the undisputed leader in sports photography. Lev Borodulin was the first owner of a specific fish eye lens in the USSR. In 1973 Lev Abramovich Borodulin emigrated to Israel.
