Konstantin Alekseyevich Korovin was a leading Russian Impressionist painter. After the October Revolution till his emigration to France, Korovin continued to work in the theater, designing stages for Richard Wagners Die Walkure and Siegfried, as well as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.
