Antique Russian Rococo-style mantel clock. Made of gilded bronze, decorated with enamel and paintings. The round enamel dial with Roman numerals is adorned with gilding. The movement is accompanied by a winding key, marked verso: "PAUL BUHRE / ST. PETERSBURG". On both sides of the dial are bronze masks of lions' muzzles with laurel wreaths in their mouths. The base is decorated with acanthus leaves and a painting with a seated girl. Inlays of turquoise have been partially preserved. The base is decorated with enamel and exquisite gilded patterns. The clock is installed on four legs. Circa 1900.
