Jehuda Rodan, Israeli painter, (1916-1985) born in Transylvania. Jehuda Rodan was born in Oradia, Transylvania. He began studying medicine in Nancy, France, but left medical school to study art with Alfred Macalik in 1935 and Adolph Fenyes in 1939. In 1945, he returned to Oradia. During World War II he spent four years in Nazi forced labor camps. From 1950 till 1958, he served as director of the local branch of the Romanian Painters Association. Rodan immigrated to Israel, settling in Tel Aviv.
