A collection of six African etched sculptures and masks. The items are hand carved from a tropical hardwood, and stained black. The collection includes a pair of African Female and Male Bwety head busts, one with a paper label on the bottom; one figurine in the shape of an antelope; one male wall hanging mask; and one more. Congolese wood African mask, Social Wisdom, attributed to Abubakari Alhassan. The mask is made from sese wood and decorates it with clay. Serene and wise, the societal mask of the Kif Webe people in Congo is consulted to ward off disaster. It is believed to have supernatural healing powers.
