Lot 0378: A RARE WWII NAZI HERMANN FEGELEIN SIGNED POSTCARD

41 reviews

A rare WWII German NAZI postcard, depicting a profile portrait of Hermann Fegelein in uniform boldly hand-signed across the image by Hermann Fegelein. Hermann Fegelein, 1906 - 1945, was a Nazi military leader and SS-Gruppenfuhrer, a Knight's Cross winner with Oak Leaves. Fegelein married Eva Braun's sister and served as a liaison between Hitler and Himmler, but in the closing days of the war, he was caught attempting to flee and was summarily executed. Note: provenance is from an American businessman who worked in the immediate years after WWII on the reconstruction of Germany and became a collector of Nazi paraphernalia.
