An antique Russian Orthodox brass and blue enameled crucifix. A typical Russian Orthodox Cross with three horizontal crossbeams and the lowest one slanted to remind that The Cross is a Scale of Justice. On the lowest slanted crossbeam is depicted the Jerusalem old city. Christ the Saviour is represented on the upper part of the cross with the right hand blessing and the world on the left one. Inscribed in Cyrillic on the upper part. An etched text and the image of the cross on the back. Circa: 19th century. Russian Religious Items and Collectibles.
