Steven Hazard etching on paper, Reminiscence. Signed in pencil lower right. Titled in pencil lower left. Artist Proof lower to the center. Framed. The original paper labels of Newman Galleries on the back. Stephen Hazard was born in Austin, Texas in 1951. Stephen Hazard studied at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Art History in Art History in 1976. In 1984 Hazard studied etching with Dennis Mc Williams and portraiture with Bruce Corr. The etchings and drawings of Hazard have received numerous awards including the 1985 Purchase Award Human in Art in the Fifth Print Competition in Michigan. In 1987 he earned second place price at the Print Competition in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Stuart Egnal Award of the 63 International Competition of the Philadelphia Print Club. His other exhibitions included many shows in Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, Maine, and Pennsylvania. hazards work is represented in the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Michelson Gallery of Boston, the Componile Gallery of Chicago, The Philadelphia Print Club, and the Stone Ron Gallery of Jim Thorpe, PA, among others.
