A vintage Pablo Picasso Madoura limited edition partially glazed terracotta ceramic pitcher or jug. Dated 1952. The pitcher is covered with a glaze in peach, red, black, and orange shades. Marked, Edition Picasso, stamped Madoura, and numbered 50 of 200, on the bottom. Completed with a Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate attests that it is an original ceramic signed, numbered and hand painted by Pablo Picasso. Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
