Lot 0543: VINTAGE MACHETE AND JAPANESE KAMA SICKLE

A set of two vintage combat knives. First. A 1960s Corneta Machete No. 31 with an original brown leather sheath. Corneta was a brand established by the German sword-makers Gebrueder Weyesburg in El Salvadore in the 1950's for the local market. Machete is a Latin American type of blade used for agricultural needs or in combat. The broad blade has a dark patina and rust, stamped with trumpet trademark and model number. Black handle is molded around the blade tang. Second. A Japanese kama sickle, a traditional farming implement used for reaping crops and also employed as a weapon. Long wooden handle numbered 6 with a branded sticker. Short curved blade. Native Militaria Weapons For Collectors.
