Lot 0264: ANTIQUE ASIAN BUDDHIST BRONZE STUPA VESSEL

41 reviews

A bronze vessel executed in the form of a stupa, Buddhist hemispherical architectural structure containing relics that is used as a place of meditation. Similar objects are popular in the Southeast Asian region. The lot is a complex vertical geometric structure consisting of an elongated base, a rounded body, a long neck with spherical disks strung on it, and a flat closure. The vessel can be used as a vase. The item is difficult to date but similar lots from the same provenance are traced back to early Buddhist historical periods. Archaic Minimalist Asian Bronze Antiques For Interior Design.
