An antique Russian Orthodox icon of Saint John the Divine in Silence. The hand-painted icon with egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on the wood panel. Inscribed upper to the center. Circa: 18th century. The first icon was painted by Nektary Kulyuskin (17th century). Entered the Hermitage in 1960; received by the State Hermitage Museum expedition sent to identify and collect works of Russian art in different areas of the Arkhangelsk Region in 1960.
