Lot 0380: TALL JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL RED CARMINE VASE

A tall vintage Japanese brass and enamel vase with a narrow neck. The exterior is adorned with a red carmine floral peonies pattern made in the Cloisonne technique. Initially, products in the Cloisonne technique began to be used in the 15th century as household items of the royal court and ritual items in temples. The first examples of cloisonne enamel appeared in China in the 15th century, and since then the technology for manufacturing products has not changed much. Circa: first half of the 20th century.
