A pair of vintage Chinese gilt brass and enamel vases with fluted necks. The vases feature a black background with a classical blossoming flowers motif made in the Cloisonne technique, a diaper traditional clouds pattern, and ornaments on the base and near the neck. Circa: Mid 20th century. Initially, products in the Cloisonne technique began to be used in the 15th century as household items of the royal court and ritual items in temples. The first examples of cloisonne enamel appeared in China in the 15th century, and since then the technology for manufacturing products has not changed much.
