Mildred Murdock (American, 20th century) oil on canvas abstract landscape painting. Signed lower left and on the back of the canvas, dated 1985. Framed. A lamp is attached to the frame. Mildred Murdock worked in both oil and pottery. Her oils were abstract or semi abstracted, influenced by the forms of nature. The solidity of rocks and trees, and the subtle lunes where the snow meets the brook were transformed into paintings to which the viewer can relate.
