A Chanel style 2 55 model flap quilted bubble black leather shoulder bag. Gold-tone metal hardware. Model 2.55 is an iconic Chanel bag. The name of the bag is the date of its creation, February 1955. The bag is made of quilted leather, which later became the hallmark of Chanel. Bag 2.55 had two chains because the caretakers of the monastery wore keys on such chains. There is a zipper compartment on the inside of the flap. There is a version that Chanel kept love letters in her bag. Since model 2.55 was created, many variations of it have appeared: a fur model, with a metallic sheen, in various colors and shades. In 1983, Karl Lagerfeld, when he became part of the Fashion House team, re released the 2.55 model. Its feature was the SS lock. Marked with a brand logo inside. Numbered OK 0973628 OK PTA 1519426 on the clasp inside. Completed with a small quilted black polished leather purse with an impressed logo on the front, silver tone hardware, and brand logo pendants. Not Authenticated. Vintage and Modern Fashion Brand Bags, Accessories, and Collectibles.
