A collection of rare items relating to Camp Black in Long Island. Camp Black was a Spanish-American War muster camp for volunteers established in 1898 near Garden City, Nassau County, New York and abandoned the same year. Named after Frank S. Black, New York Governor 1897 to 1898. A total of 21 items. 13 signed black and white photographs of the Camp Black members, one laminated, some are enlarged copies. An envelope sent from Camp Black, dated June 24, 1898. A souvenir Camp Black badge. A military Camp Black ribbon with golden pin. Bonus: three issues of Long Island Forum magazine, January 1977, June 1980, July 1982. Firemen's Association of New York memorial ribbon, 1946.
