A unique collection of various items belonging to Bill (William) Fraccio (American, 1920-2005). The collection includes a one of a kind wooden box or suitcase with a metal handle, a pair of etchings depicting a male portrait in profile and a knight on horseback signed in the plate, a glossy graphic art print depicting a military scene with a cook and a cat, a pair of ink and pencil paintings on paper depicting a cat and sitting boys, and an original brochure with instruction of Mercedes Benz 540 K Supercharged Cabriolet and one small sketch depicting this car. The unique box is painted and inscribed on the lid by the artist. The painting depicts a caricature coat of arms with the billiard balls and the screws and a comic motto. Signed, Wm. William Fraccio was an American comic book artist whose career stretched from the 1940s Golden Age of comic books through 1979 when he turned to producing advertising art and teaching. He is best known for his 23 years run at Charlton Comics, where he illustrated, among many other things, the first two professional stories of future Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Roy Thomas. The often-uncredited Fraccio and his frequent art partner, inker Tony Tallarico, sometimes used the joint pseudonym Tony Williamson and, later, Tony Williamsune, on stories for Warren Publishing's horror-comics magazines Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella.
