Lot 0366: COLLECTION OF BOY SCOUTS ITEMS AND MEMORABILITY

A huge collection of Scout Association badges and collectibles of the Boy Scouts of America including buttons, activity and award badges, God & Country 50 years of service Boy Scout BSA neckerchief slide, some scout woodworking carved items, typewritten documents, and pocket certificates. The lot also contains three cans with very old tobacco mixtures. The present lot on auction forms part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be traced back to Felix Kuranda in the 19th century Austrian Empire, a member of a well known family of bankers and politicians, directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne and Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
