Lot 0221: TEN AMERICAN STERLING SILVER SPOONS HALLMARK SET

A lot of ten American sterling silver souvenir spoons. The lot includes a Kingston Canada spoon with a Royal Coat of Arms of Canada on the top of the handle, one spoon with the bowl that reads Pasadena Cal and has the oranges and flowers and the handle with floral decoration, Illinois 1907 spoon adorned with etched initials and relief images of an eagle and corns, a large Philadelphia Pennsylvania spoon, Atlantic City spoon with a relief image of a Convention Hall on the handle, a Cincinnati Ohio spoon, a spoon with a cobalt blue emblem of The Pennsylvania State Collage 1855 on the handle, and others. All items are marked with a Sterling silver standard hallmark and other Assay marks on the back. Silver Weight: 121 grams. Provenance: The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
