Lot 0211: A SET OF BOXES WITH MEDALS JEWELRY COLLECTIBLES

A set of vanity boxes with medals, jewelry and collectibles. The lot includes beaded necklaces, four pins, several embossed medals, a Portuguese covered metal box adorned with a relief ornament and red velvet lining; one Cloisonne enameled figural jewelry box; one case is marked Westclox; three embossed medals WWII, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, Occupation Service; several military pins; three cameos with portraits and flowers; one black and white photo and others. Provenance: The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
