Lot 0317: A COLLECTION OF APOTHECARY BOTTLES AND VANITY

A large collection of pharmacy bottles and vanity including original glass jars with powders and various chemical compositions in a large wooden pharmacy cabinet. Goes with metal and plastic combs, thimbles on a vintage plastic tray. The present collection is for decorative purposes only. Do not use any of the products stored in the containers. The present lot on auction forms part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in 19th century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians, directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne and Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
