The present lot is on auction from part of Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of these items can be traced back to Felix Kuranda in the XIX Century Austrian Empire, a member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk, Long Island, NY.
