An antique lithograph Surrender of General Lee, At Appomattox C.H.VA April 9th 1865 by Currier and Ives (American, 1834-1907). A cover page with an engraved illustration from the Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper from 1874. Later renamed Leslie's Weekly, it was an American illustrated literary and news magazine founded in 1855 and published until 1922. An antique engraved print titled Storming of Fort Donelson, decisive bayonet charge of the Iowa Second Regiment on the Confederate entrenchments at Fort Donelson, February 15th, 1862, resulting in the capture of the works on the following morning from Famous Leaders and Battle Scenes of the Civil War, published in 1864. An engraved illustration titled King Log and King Stock from Harper’s Weekly, a New York based newspaper in the last half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
