Alexander Stanovov (Russian, 1921–?) two black and white photos dedicated to World War II. All signed in felt pen and dated 1944 and 1945. Alexander Stanovov was a famous war photographer, a photo correspondent of the 5th Army of the 3rd Belorussian Front. He covered the Far Eastern campaign during World War II. Also contains a photo portrait of Junior Sergeant Polikarpov titled A Mortar Man by Vladimir Yudin. Dated 1943 on verso. This lot is a part of Borodulin's Collection of Russian Photographs.
