A finely handcrafted Gerz German hot cider and punch glazed ceramic lidded bowl or tureen with 6 mugs, circa the 1950s. Decorated with large raised relief images of castles on the Rhine in a circular pattern with grapes and vines motifs around the sides of the bowl and cups. Marksburg, Burg Lahneck, Ruine Godesberg, Burg Katz, Burg Sonneck, Burg Rheinstein are depicted on the bowl. Incised marks on bottoms: Made in Germany, GERZ emblem, numbers. Collectible vintage German mid century tableware set.
