A Eugene Higgins drypoint etching etching printed upon paper with large margins. Signed by Higgins in pencil under the plate-mark lower right and titled 'The Refugees' lower left. Circa 1920. Eugene Higgins, American 1874 to 1958, is famous for his portrayals of the poor and downtrodden, such as flood victims, refugees, dirt farmers, the shipwrecked and other unfortunate people.
