A set of vintage American calotype printed photographs from the 1880s. Contains two extremely rare NYC criminals talbotype mug shots with the detailed descriptions on back used for updating identification records on the Detective Bureau. A picture of great fire in Utica, NY in 1884 used as part of an advertisement campaign by Newell & Rowe dealers on paper items. Several more pictures in the genre of reportage. Works from similar studios are part of the collection of the MET Museum in New York and other worldwide institutions. Highly collectible items. Cabinet of Oddities and Rarities.
